June 10, 2014, 7:00 pm is our next community garden meeting, provided the weather cooperates. Mary Mitchell will be there even if it is raining some (barring thunder & lightening), to greet anyone who would like to come. Mary took some more tomato plants to the site yesterday to work on. Also, she will bring the hoses & nozzle to be left at the plots for anyone to use & a large storage bin for our supplies like twine or string, stakes, and plant labels you are welcome to bring whatever garden plants you wishes to grow. Please remember to follow the Hilliard Community Garden rules while there. Walking in the walkways is very important so we do not disturb other people's plots.
NICC's Outreach Department is excited to have it's first ever Community Garden! We have rented out two plots of land at the Hoffman estates for our Noor community. This project is meant to serve several purposes:
1) Increase a sense of unity amongst NICC community members.
2) Provide an opportunity for our youth to see the signs of Allah swt, and understand that we are all stewards ( khalifah) of Allah swt on this Earth.
3) Provide an opportunity to do da'wah with non- Muslim fellow community gardeners in neighboring plots.
4) Promote healthy eating
Sr. Heather O' Bannon has kindly offered to help in leading this wonderful project, as she has much expertise in gardening.
Garden plots are located near the water tower at the Estates at Hoffman Farms.

IQAMA SCHEDULE - 2017
of the day
Narrated Abu Huraira (radi Allahu anhu):
I heard Allah's Apostle (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) saying. 'Allah divided Mercy into one-hundred parts and kept ninety-nine parts of it with Him and sent down one part on earth. And because of that, its one single part, His creations are Merciful to each other, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof away from its young lest it should hurt it.
