About ISLAM

Will you be patient or lose your temper? Our dear Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) stated, “How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. History
His sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul-Hijjah (Islamic Calendar) i.e. 10 A.H. on Mount of Rahmat in the plains of 'Arafat in Mecca, during the Hajj pilgrimage.
After praising and thanking Allah the Prophet (saws) said: "O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that he will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah

Ibn Sina was born in 980 C.E. in the village of Afshana near Bukhara which today is located in the far south of Russia. NICC 2012 Calendar
The elections for the AIW/NICC Board of Directors is underway. The voting period is May 11 - May 18. Registered, eligible voters received their online ballot via direct email.
Eligible voters may also alternatively cast
their votes in person at the Noor Islamic Cultural Center on Friday, May 11th and Friday, May 18th between Maghrib and Isha prayers in the library. Please join us in spreading the word.

Allah's Apostle said, "If the people knew the reward for pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row (in congregational prayers) and found no other way to get that except by drawing lots they would draw lots, and if they knew the reward of the Zuhr prayer (in the early moments of its stated time) they would race for it (go early) and if they knew the reward of 'Isha' and Fajr (morning) prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl."
